They heard you loud and clear, and have gone a step further - not only is IBZ an entirely new instrument in terms of the guitar and samples, but the engine has been rebuilt from the ground up as well! Shreddage 2 IBZ was conceived after ISW received countless requests to sample different guitars in the Shreddage engine.
Not sure what other midi guitar players are seeing.Ultra Aggressive Sound of a 7-string Heavy Metal Guitar Just thought I would pass this info on to you.
So it is the added lower notes or your new split point that shifts the alignment of single note play off by 7, at least for me anyway. Low E is where it should be which is cool and all the notes align correctly, but I dont get all the new features or GUI of 2X. What is interesting Andrew is your original Shreddage 2 with transpose up 24 half steps does the correct alignment of notes for my midi guitar. i know you have a Archtop hollow body guitar and read that manual and says the same thing. Not too sure what the Archtop mono mode is or does, I selected mono mode on the main page of Shreddage 2X. Still need to do the midi transpose above for the alignment. This is all well and good, but it does not align the single play notes to fall in the right spots. Setting up for separate channel per string and selecting (midi split). By shifting up 24 half steps, Doing this I am 7 half steps (high)short/shy of getting your lowest E to line up for Open E on the lowest string. Transposing midi I can shift up or down 24 half steps or two octaves. Here is what I find at least with my midi guitar. Thank you for your information and yes my midi guitar has both midi transpose and able to set each string on on separate channel, but still cant get single note play to line up correctly on the guitar strings. Tried below with my midi guitar again this morning.
