A scroll-wheel setting is fine, but it affects the gameplay (not in a good or bad way, but in various fun ways) to have it set to different zoom levels, and so I think it should be a set-and-stick-with setting. The limited view, and consequent reliance on getting and keeping your minimap up and running, are just parts of the gameplay. I like there to be a use for the radar station, as well. But it's possible to keep a limited view where the radar station is still valuable while still allowing for the perspective to be zoomed out a bit. And in MP, whether the radar station is wanted to be valuable or not can be a choice of those playing the match - just as choosing whether to have fog of war or not is a choice.Īnd in the SP campaign, it could be more locked-down to a specific setting to keep the gameplay balanced as intended.
